Kitchen Stuff
What: A large pile of random kitchen items, including a pepper grinder, thermos, teapot, hand mixer, pans, etc. Why: The kitchen is a mess. We always have too many dishes and not enough prep space.

Bonus! We've reclaimed an entire cabinet, and we're not even finished sorting yet.

Pocket Knife
Why: This poor knife is in rough shape. The handle material is peeling, it's hard to open, and it's very dull. Most importantly, the lock doesn't work very well anymore.
Where: Trash. (I hate putting things in the landfill, but this knife isn't salvageable. Because of the failing lock, it's completely untrustworthy.)

Laptop Bag
Why: This bag never properly fit my laptop. I had to stuff the computer in before anything else, and it was a struggle to close the zipper. I've since picked up a freebie messenger bag that works much better (and is more colorful.)
